California Summer Wedding

Usually when business slows down at the end of the year, I re-edit old weddings and sessions and I really enjoy seeing images come to life again. I feel like I improve year after year with my skills and overall it’s just plain fun to edit!

Olivia and Enrique’s wedding was the first wedding I shot during my first full year of booking weddings. So this was a big one for me! I was nervous but I also knew I could do it. Fun fact: I was about 10 weeks pregnant for this wedding, feeling pretty sick, but didn’t want to take away from their day so I didn’t tell a soul that I was pregnant haha. I’m so glad they booked me, I’m so glad to have met them and I’m so glad I got the opportunity to photograph such a beautiful day. Their wedding still has my most favorite set of first dance images to this day. They were so fun and I loved that their guests all stood in a circle around them; surrounding them with their support and love. Kenwood Ranch was absolutely stunning as well! Lorin was a joy to work with and I hope I get the opportunity to work with her again!

Lastly, a year after their wedding they booked a “trash the dress” session with me. If you’re not familiar with this, it’s a session where you jump in the ocean or lake or some sort of body of water with your wedding attire on. These sessions are SO FUN! They did this as an anniversary gift to themselves and I’m so happy they did! The last image you see in this series is of the two of them in the ocean out in Bodega Bay. It was such an incredible session! Enjoy!
